Film shooters world wide beware! As if there weren’t enough reasons for which film photography is a pain, Fujifilm just announced today a major worldwide price increase for its film lines.
If you thought shooting film was cool and hip and cheap, you might want to think again.
“The price increases are substantial and it would be an increase of at least double digit, but will vary depending on products, markets and regions,” Fuji says. Date of Price Increase : Effective from January 2016 onward.
Can’t help but wonder if what the real reason for the Fujifilm price increase is. Is it the fact that the film demand has dropped or is it strictly a lucrative opportunity that the moment film photography is starting to get some traction with public, the prices coincidentally increase.
What do you think?
