Jordan Drake and Chris Niccolls from the Camerastoretv take a look the Sony RX10 II on location (Margaret Falls, British Columbia).

It now retails at $ 1,298 which is a lot of money for a small 1″ sensor so this might not be the first choice for passionate photographers, however if you’re a videographer, you might really like this camera.

Quick info about the Sony RX10 I:

Image Sensor Sensor Type 1.0-type (13.2 mm x 8.8 mm) Exmor RS CMOS sensor, aspect ratio 3:2
Number of Pixels [Effective] Approx. 20.2 megapixels
[Gross] Approx. 21.0 megapixels
Lens Lens Type ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* lens, 14 elements in 11 groups (7 aspherical elements including AA lens)
F-number (maximum
aperture)
F2.8 constant

In conclusion, it might not be The Great Hybrid but a good one if you like shooting video primarily and some stills now and then.
