OMEGA’s Co-Axial Chronometers are crafted to a standard unmatched by any other industrialised mechanical watch movement. In OMEGA’s new film, the viewer is drawn into the world of the Co-Axial Chronometer through spellbinding animated sequences expressing the perfection of nature elegantly interacting with man-made gearwheels and other elements of mechanical watch movements.
All of the elements – natural and man-made – appear to be regulated by clockwork gears. Intriguingly, all of the watch mechanisms and gears are perfect 3D renderings of components found in the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 9300 chronograph movement.
HOW IT WORKS
Since they were launched in 2007, OMEGA’s exclusive Co-Axial mechanical watch movements have been described as among the best in the world. This short video takes you inside our Co-Axial calibre 9301 chronograph and in 79 seconds reveals, in detail, the interaction among its key components, including the silicon balance spring, the gear train and, of course, the industry-defying Co-Axial escapement at the heart of the movement. It’s a perfect introduction to this miniature world — even for those who aren’t so technically inclined!
