Do you think you’re smarter than everyone else? Do you think you’re better than everyone else? Do you think that only your arguments make sense? Do you not even consider the possibility that you might be wrong?
I could go on but you probably recognized yourself by now. You might have this God complex but don’t worry, it’s curable.
So what is the God complex you ask?
Well, in short “the god complex is a non-clinical term generally used to describe an individual who consistently believes he or she can accomplish more than is humanly possible or that their opinion is automatically above those with whom he or she may disagree. The individual may believe he or she is above the rules of society and should be given special consideration or privileges.” (wikipedia)
You will find this most likely present with surgeons and other doctors in general and you know that they can be the most arrogant persons out there.

They may also behave with a high level of grandiosity or pretentiousness which draws attention to themselves, and they treat other people carelessly, using and exploiting them at will.” (wisegeek.com)
My kind advice for you people out there who think are better than everyone else is: lighten up, smile, no matter how many things you know about the world or your profession, you won’t impress me much!
So tell me, are you better than everyone else?

Regarding the God Complex, i must say i think i had it once…but now i'm starting to heal. However, i believe that deep down inside, every man has it but only a few express it.
What i would encourage is to let go of the arrogance…regardless of the God Complex or not, and be only moderately humble. Being too humble, might affect your self-esteem.
And to answer your question. Are you better than everyone else? No, i'm definitely not better than everyone else. I am better than some. But considering the world has almost 7 billion people, there must be someone who is better than everyone else…and perhaps one day i will get to meet him.
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n' roll ;)…or so i heard.
I just thought about a funny thing regarding the God Complex and i'm gonna post it on my blog 😀

Heh. I think I have some aspects of a god complex. A lot of times I find myself feeling that I expect phenomenally more of myself than anyone else around me.

So you are trying to give advice to people who did not ask you for it and who certainly do not think they need any (by way of consequence of suffering from the God Complex). Is it them or is it you who needs them to relax?
